Mitsubishi Electric at UTAR Insight 2026: Radiance
Mitsubishi Electric Sales Malaysia participated in Insight 2026: Radiance, held at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) on 1–2 July 2026.
This was a 2-day event organised by the IChemE Student Chapter of UTAR. Its objective is to bring together academic and industry and give networking opportunities for students with professionals. There were also a variety of activities such as case study challenges, AutoCAD competitions etc.
To Mitsubishi Electric, this was a very meaningful event that gives us the opportunity to share our experience and latest technology to undergraduates, whose shoes we were in once a upon a time.
For this event, we introduce our technology through the following demo kits:
1. Satellite Training Kit: PLC
Visitors were introduced to the capabilities of the MELSEC PLC through an interactive demonstration featuring a custom-developed program. The showcase illustrated how various outputs, including indicator lights and a buzzer, could be controlled through push buttons, switches, and proximity sensors. In addition, participants experienced how system parameters such as buzzer volume could be adjusted in real time, demonstrating the flexibility and ease of PLC-based automation.
2. HMI GOT3000
The HMI GOT3000 demonstration highlighted Mitsubishi Electric’s user-friendly human-machine interface technology and its seamless integration with external devices such as webcams. Visitors explored how machine operations can be monitored remotely through an intuitive touchscreen interface, showcasing a solution that is accessible even to users with limited technical experience.
3. MELSOFT GEMINI – Simulation Software
Through MELSOFT GEMINI, visitors experienced a virtual chair assembly line simulation that demonstrated how digital technologies can optimize manufacturing processes. We introduced the concept of Simulation and how factors such as workforce allocation, machinery, and robotics can be analysed and configured to achieve greater efficiency and productivity in production environments.
