Mitsubishi Electric Sales Malaysia – The Sponsor for 4th World Deaf Football Championship 2023
Sunway Resort Hotel, Selangor, 29th August 2023: With the 4th World Deaf Football Championship 2023 being less than 25 days away, a press conference was held to introduce the sponsors and the Malaysia Deaf Tigers Football Squad.
The World Deaf Football Championship is a quadrennial event. For this year, it is the first time to be held in Asia, and Malaysia has been proudly selected to host this event. This event was organised by the Malaysian Deaf Sports Association (MSDeaf) and the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD).

The first match will kick-off on 23rd September 2023 and the matches will continue until the finals on 7th October 2023. This year’s competition will see participation by 20 males’ deaf football teams & 5 females’ football teams from around the world. Meanwhile, the Malaysian Deaf Tiger Football Squad will be representing Malaysia in this championship.

During the press conference, MSDeaf introduced Mitsubishi Electric Sales Malaysia (MESM) as the official sponsor for this fourth edition of championship. In the past, Mitsubishi Electric had been one of the official sponsors of Paralympic Games. In line with Mitsubishi Electric’s aim to contribute to the promotion of sports for the physically challenged, Mitsubishi Electric Sales Malaysia (MESM) had decided to donate a total of RM 50,000.00 for the 4th World Deaf Football Championship.
